 Great composers reflect on the end of life and the end of time. In November, the month of commemoration of the dead, Berlin violinist Sophia Jaffé creates a weighty program with Villa Musica fellows. In his G minor quintet, Mozart already anticipated the death of his father; in the Quartet on the End of Time, Messiaen gave thousands of prisoners of war hope for redemption at the end of all days. The Frankfurt violin professor has a close connection to the young generation, since she herself has won awards at major competitions in Geneva and Brussels.
