SUMMARY: The Apollinarishill as the centre of Romanticism. From the Boisserée brothers to the Cologne cathedral master builder Zwirner and the Nazarenes with Dr. Erhard Wacker
DESCRIPTION:There has been a church on the Apollinarisberg for 1000 years, the monastery for a good 900 years and St Apollinaris has been worshipped for more than 700 years. The aim of the tour is not to list historical facts and dates, but to convey a deeper impression, coupled with knowledge about this special place. You will visit the Apollinaris church including the crypt and, of course, the garden with its magnificent view over the Rhine Valley.
This guided tour is part of the exhibition Longing for Utopia. Painting and Sculpture of Romanticism.

Meeting point: Apollinaris Church - Remagen
Cost: A donation for the Apollinaris Church will be gladly accepted.
Please book your free ticket for this tour via our online shop. The ticket button below will take you directly to our shop.
 Information: anmeldung@arpmuseum.org or +49 2228 9425-36

 Photo: © Heinz Grates
