SUMMARY: Painting with pigments - Longing for Utopia: Rhine landscape before our eyes with Charlotte von Ohnesorge
DESCRIPTION:Attention: Please ask Ms. von Ohnesorge whether participation in English is possible.

In the depictions of Rhine and river landscapes in the exhibition Longing for Utopia, we discover a wide variety of colours. A few sketches are made in the exhibition and form the basis and inspiration for our painting with the pigments. It is fascinating to see how the pure colours - applied directly to the paper - can be rubbed into smooth or grainy strokes, spread like a powdery touch or condensed into strong, opaque surfaces. Pure pigments are used, in pieces, rubbed, solid and loose pastel chalks, binders - finely dosed - and water. A variety of techniques are possible. We let the pigments work. And in doing so, we learn how sometimes random effects are created - and how we can incorporate and utilise this process in our depiction. The workshop is suitable for beginners and advanced students.

Costs: 50 € per person, incl. material, plus museum entrance fee
Registration necessary: Charlotte von Ohnesorge oder +49 178 9132068
