Workshop – 2-day - Registration necessary
Would you like to create your own book? Unlike mass-produced books, this course focuses on the artistic exploration of unique items or small print runs with individual designs. After a brief introduction to the different types of binding, participants will start with their own practical exercises. The course covers everything from single-sheet books to leporello, wire stitching, Japanese binding and thread stitching, as well as various cover designs. Depending on your experience, you can also make boxes or slipcases. You are welcome to bring your own drawings and special papers that you would like to use in your book or box. The course is aimed at beginners and advanced learners. The materials, various types of paper, cardboard, book cloth, gauze, bookbinding thread and bookbinding glue are provided and included in the course fee. Tools such as cutters, folding bones, needles, cutting mats and brushes are available on loan.

Cost: 90€ per person for both days, incl. material, plus one-time museum entrance fee
