The museum is open all the year round from Tuesday to Sunday from 11 am – 6 pm, including most public holidays.
The only exceptions are the movable holiday on "Rosenmontag" (Monday during Carnival in February), 24.12. (Christmas Eve) and 31.12. (New Year's Eve). On these days the museum is closed.
The opening hours are always from 11 am – 6 pm. On exhibition opening nights or during special events held in the evening, only the relevant areas of the museum are open.
Every Tuesday, all visitors receive the reduced admission price of 9 euros. For students, trainees and holders of the family card Rhineland-Palatinate, admission is free on Tuesdays. For registered groups (min. 10 people), an early opening of the museum is also possible from 9 a.m. onwards.
Yes: the Arp Museum Bahnhof Rolandseck has a large free car park immediately in front of the station building (access from the B9). Parking spaces for visitors with restricted mobility are available to the right of the entrance.
In 2014 the Arp Museum Bahnhof Rolandseck was certified as a barrier-free cultural institution in accordance with national standards.
The entire building is suitable for wheelchair use. There are two wheelchairs available for loan in the cloakroom area.
The Arp Museum Bahnhof Rolandseck believes that one of its important tasks is to provide all its visitors with individual and creative access to art and culture. This applies not only to the barrier-free access to the buildings but also to art education. In order to provide a high-quality educational programme, we work in partnership with a professional team of freelance experts with extensive experience and specialist knowledge from the fields of fine art, art history, art education and art therapy. You can find further information here...
We request that you leave large prams in the cloakroom. There you will find two buggys which are available for loan.
Bags up to a maximum size of 20 cm x 30 cm (DIN A4) are permitted in the museum. We request that you leave larger items free of charge in our cloakroom – or please use one of our lockers.
Visitors are permitted to take photographs for private purposes without using flash or a tripod in the Arp Collection and in most special exhibitions. Occasionally lenders will not permit photographs of their artworks. In this case the security staff will inform you accordingly. In order to protect the artworks the use of flash is generally not permitted. In general, permission must be obtained from the holders of the image copyright (the artist, VG Bild-Kunst, Bonn, the lenders etc.) before publishing photographs taken on our premises in the internet.
Photography using a tripod and/or the commercial use of photographs taken in the Arp Museum Bahnhof Rolandseck and the grounds requires prior permission from the museum and from the holder of the image copyright. Please contact the Department of Communication.

Yes: you can purchase entry tickets in the form of vouchers both at the ticket desk and in our online shop. The vouchers are valid indefinitely and can be redeemed at any time. Please note that price reductions can only be granted upon production of corresponding proof of eligibility, and that they must also be shown when the voucher is redeemed.
Providing that the event in question is not sold out, of course you may purchase tickets at the door. If there are no more tickets available you will find information to that effect on our website and in the shop under the event concerned. The box office for last-minute ticket purchases begins when the doors open, approx. 30 minutes before the event begins.
Of course it is also possible to order tickets in advance during the museum opening times and to have them reserved for collection at the desk.
Purchasers of tickets have no claim to be able to return tickets which have previously been purchased, even when there is a change in the programme. Visitors forfeit the right to a seat if they arrive after the concert has begun.
