Adrien La Marca, Viola
Scholarship holders of the Villa Musica Rhineland-Palatinate

Introducing a new name among the world's great violists: the Frenchman Adrien La Marca. He pulls out all the stops in terms of artistry and romantic sentiment in an exchange of blows with grandiose string players and pianists from Villa Musica. Schubert's Erlkönig can be heard as a breathtaking duet for violin and viola. In the piano quartet by Wagnerian Ernest Chausson, La Marca plays the most beautiful viola solo ever written in Paris. And in the Hungarian finale of Brahms' G minor quartet, all the dams of rhythm and tempo break.

Lili Boulanger: Nocturne et Cortège for violoncello and piano

Franz Schubert: Three Songs, arranged for violin and viola by C. G. Wolff (Erlkönig, Gretchen am Spinnrade, Hippolits Lied)

Ernest Chausson: Piano Quartet in A major, op. 30

Johannes Brahms: Piano Quartet No. 1 in G minor, op. 25
