In this guided tour, Prof. Dr Frank Bertoldi and Dr Julia Wallner (curator of the exhibition To the Stars! and director of the museum) will lead visitors through the exhibition To the Stars!. Participants will learn fascinating background information about the works on display and gain an insight into the vast field of astronomical research.

 

Prof. Dr Frank Bertoldi has been a professor and head of the Radio Astronomy Group at the Argelander Institute for Astronomy at the University of Bonn since 2004. He studied physics at the University of Cologne and completed his studies with a PhD in physics at the University of California, Berkeley, in 1989. As a postdoctoral researcher, he worked at Princeton University, the Institut d’Astrophysique de Paris, the MPE in Garching and the MPIfR in Bonn. His current research focuses, amongst other things, on the formation of stars, galaxies and black holes in the early universe.
