Concert
Guy Braunstein, violin;
Zvi Plesser, cello;
Ohad Ben-Ari, piano;
Gili Schwarzman, flute.
Just like in the old Rolandseck days: Guy Braunstein reunites with friends from Israel to indulge in chamber music. The longtime concertmaster of the Berlin Philharmonic was also once a Villa Musica scholarship recipient early in his career. He revisits those days with cellist Zvi Plesser and pianist Ohad Ben-Ari in Schumann’s restless, urgent Trio in D minor and Beethoven’s cheerful “Kakadu Variations.” Gili Schwarzman brings the charm of the flute to the ballroom.
