Images, whether still or moving, are regarded as our window to the world. This perspective is governed by a symbolic order full of rules and codes. They dictate to us what is true – regardless of whether it corresponds to reality. The growing popularity of artificial intelligence is now creating new rules and new codes. As a result, our frame of reference is shifting, and the boundaries between truth and reality are becoming increasingly blurred. How do the systems that create these images work? Are our previous criteria for truth becoming obsolete as a result? Julian von Mach will attempt to address these and other topics during his talk.
Please note that you must purchase a separate ticket for the curatorial tours. Places are limited.
Cost: free of charge, plus admission (Please purchase a free ticket via our online shop.)
