"Meditative archery is not about hitting the centre of a target, but about finding our own centre: experiencing the unity of body, mind and soul – through mindfulness, concentration and relaxation."
Too many appointments and technology, the pressure to perform and sensory overload mean that we are finding it increasingly difficult to relax and find ourselves – to feel and sense ourselves. What many of us lack is distance from external constraints and closeness to our inner selves. In meditative archery – archery supplemented by concentration and relaxation exercises – we focus on ourselves. The aim is to reduce physical and mental tension, to become more aware of ourselves again and to create a feeling of ‘here and now’.
In our course, we teach the basics of intuitive archery. In addition to basic knowledge about bows and arrows, the most important elements are external and internal posture and breathing.
After the course, each participant should be able to take more strength, calm and serenity into their everyday life.
