Bestselling author Katharina Hagena reads from her new novel Flusslinien, which will be published in March 2025. ‘Flusslinien’ tells the story of three people in early summer: Margrit, who gets a tattoo at 102. Of Luzie, who lives in a hut by the river after difficult experiences, and of Arthur, the driver.

Katharina Hagena was born in Karlsruhe in 1967 and lives with her family in Hamburg. Her book ‘The Taste of Apple Seeds’ was an international book success, and the novel was made into a film in 2013. As a literary scholar, she has studied the praise of singing as well as James Joyce.

The event is part of the programme accompanying the exhibition In Flux. A Story about Water. It takes place in cooperation with SWR Kultur. The radio recording will be broadcast on 2 May 2025 at 10.05 pm. After the reading, Katharina Hagena will sign her novel, which can be purchased on site.
