Safe places. Design your own word collage with Diana Ivanova

After a difficult traumatic situation, we always need ‘safe places’. These can be very different. Sometimes we don't realise that we need them or that we even have them. It is important to be aware of the diversity and possibilities. This strengthens our resilience and our confidence in life.

Diana Ivanova was herself affected by the flood in the Ahr Valley and spoke to other affected persons and realised that it is easier to name ‘safe places’ with the help of word collages. In her book ‘Das Ahrtal des Mitgefühls. 89 Fragmente aus dem Leben nach der Flut’, she has published some of them. In this workshop, she invites you to talk, share and reflect - and to creatively design your own word collage. Materials will be provided. You can bring your own materials.
