Jens Peter Maintz, violoncello
Villa Musica cello scholarship holders
Schubert's magnificent string quintet on the eve of his 229th birthday - if that's not a Schubertiade! What the Berlin cello professor Jens Peter Maintz plays on his Grancino cello becomes soul music as if by itself. Whether “Arpeggione Sonata”, ‘Notturno’ or quintet - it's always about Schubert's soul song, which Maintz explores with “Young Professionals” from Villa Musica.
