He is a world star from Rhineland-Palatinate and plays three concerts for Villa Musica for the state anniversary: ​​Martin Stadtfeld. The brilliant pianist from the Westerwald is standing in for his colleague Louis Lortie from Canada, who is ill, to play the Piano Quintet Opus 34 by Johannes Brahms - in the days after the 75th birthday of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. In the only summer that Brahms spent in what is now Rhineland-Palatinate, he worked on his powerful F minor Quintet – in June 1862 in Ebernburg an der Nahe. The award-winning "Malion Quartet" from Frankfurt will perform with Martin Stadtfeld, opening the evening with Haydn's "Fifth Quartet" Opus 76 No. 2.
