Stone sculpting — shapes, colours, surfaces with Katrin Kleinau

We work on sandstone or alabaster with hammer and chisel, rasp and file. The stone is easy to work with for beginners, and advanced students will also receive support with their own projects. First we will get a feel for the technique, then the focus will be on experiencing the three-dimensionality. According to Michelangelo, the work of art is already in the stone, we just have to carve it out! A sketch made in clay helps us to find the form. Whether abstract or concrete, free form or the realisation of an idea, Katrin Kleinau is at your side with all her know-how and experience with stone (for 35 years).
