Douglas Adams died 25 years ago. In "The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy", he described an astonishing amount of the future that we are experiencing today. His ‘Deep Thought’ machine is reminiscent of today’s AI, whilst autonomous spacecraft and digital assistants have long since become a reality.
He became a household name worldwide thanks to a single number: the novel cites '42' as the answer to everything. Only the question remains unknown. Elon Musk named SpaceX spacecraft after his novels, Stephen Hawking admired the five-volume trilogy, and Barack Obama appreciated the novel’s philosophical depth.
