Helmut Böttiger in conversation with Alexander Wasner

18:00  |  Arp Museum Bahnhof Rolandseck
Special Event – Reading

20 Jan 2022

In 1968, the death of literature was still being proclaimed. Ten years later, in 1978, contemporary German literature experienced a heyday. Handke, Böll, Walser, Grass interfered in politics and society and wrote for a mass audience. Self-awareness and self-realisation marked the decade. At the beginning of the 1980s, the most interesting forms of expression shifted towards the pop and music scene. This marked the end of an era in which literature had a powerful impact for the last time. Helmut Böttiger talks about this in the SWR2 lesenswert-conversation with Alexander Wasner. The event will be recorded.
