Young string players of Villa Musica

Journeys to Italy were not only formative events for painters from the north. In 1773, the young Mozart became acquainted with the string quartets of the great Florentine Sacchini in the south and used them in his first string quintet. In 1890 Tchaikovsky spent his last spring in Florence and dedicated his great string sextet "Souvenir de Florence" to the city on the Arno. The Austrian violinist Eszter Haffner, professor in Vienna and one of Europe's most experienced chamber musicians, embarks on a search for Italian traces together with young string players from Villa Musica.
