Opening We make art!

We cordially invite you to the opening of the presentation "We make art!" on 7 December 2023 from 4-6 p.m.

 

A project presentation with artworks by children from the Juco e.V. family meeting centre in Bad Godesberg, the Storchennest day care centre in Sinzig and the KGS Lyngsbergschule in Bonn.

 

"We make art!" started in August 2022 as a cooperation project between the Arp Museum and the Juco e.V. family meeting centre in the form of a series of workshops on the art of Hans Arp and Sophie Taeuber-Arp. Based on this experience, a new offer was created at the Arp Museum: a bookable workshop package for children on the art of Arp and Taeuber-Arp, which conveys the diverse and experimental materials and techniques of the artist couple.

Since then the project has grown to include further day-care centres and primary schools, which implement workshops of this offer at the Arp Museum. A selection of artworks created by children during the project can now be seen in the Arp Lab.

Accompanying the opening, a small clay sculpture can be created in a free workshop.
