Young voices of "Baroque Vocal "

Conductor: Pedro Halffter

It is already known as a flash mob in the pedestrian zone, and as a work for chamber ensemble Beethoven's "Ninth" is a novelty. "Symphony No 9 recomposed" is what Pedro Halffter calls his version of Beethoven's Ninth. The orchestra is a chamber ensemble of Villa Musica scholarship holders. Together with cellist Alexander Hülshoff, they plunge into the dramatic first movements. For the famous finale with Schiller's "Ode to Joy", only a few young voices from "Baroque Vocal" come to the podium. Halffter's "Homage to Salvador Dalí", a resounding bow to the painter of Spanish Surrealism who died 30 years ago, is served as a prelude.
