Special Event

09 Oct 2022

On the occasion of the exhibition »Berlinde De Bruyckere. PEL / Becoming the figure« Romeu Runa performs »Romeu my deer«

Inspired by works and in collaboration with visual artist Berlinde De Bruyckere, Portuguese dancer Romeu Runa presents performances on three dates. »Romeu my deer« is based on the ancient myth of Aktaion by Ovid. In it, Aktaion is transformed into a deer by the goddess Diana and is then hunted and mauled by his own dogs.
Through the dance translation of these physical transformation processes, the underlying sensations come to life and merge with Berlinde De Bruyckere's art in an impressive and sensitive way. In the performances, art and dance come together to express deeply felt human experiences.

Please note that photographs and films will be taken during the event.

Admission to the performance is free, but registration is required: anmeldung@arpmuseum.org or +49 2228 9425-36.
