Scholarship holders of the Villa Musica

They come from the far north and play music by strong women from France and Russia: the piano professor Marianna Shyrinian from Oslo and the Swede Torleif Thédeen, currently one of the most famous cellists in the world. Together they explore the preludes of Lera Auerbach, the composer from the Urals who found her own way into the future between Bach and Shostakovich. In the piano quintet by Parisian Romantic composer Louis Farrenc, the two lecturers meet young string players from Villa Musica.

Lera Auerbach: From the 24 Preludes for cello and piano
