»These are pictures that tell of yesterday
and make tomorrow a new possibility.«

About #AHRt

The devastating flood in the Ahr valley during the night of 14 to 15 July 2021 washed away many people’s livelihoods. The past year was marked by solidarity, trauma, reconstruction, setbacks, mud, rubber boots and shovels, but also by hope and courage that contributed to a new beginning. The presentation »#AHRt« at the Arp Museum Bahnhof Rolandseck shows works of art that survived the flood but also works that deal with the disastrous flooding and a new beginning. The show provides a forum for affected artists from the Ahr region and at the same time is an inventory. These are pictures that tell of yesterday and make tomorrow a new possibility. In addition to works of the visual arts, musical contributions and performative art, poetry and spoken word art, theatre productions as well as social artistic contributions will be presented. »#AHRt« provides space for discourse on the importance of art and culture. A discourse about a tomorrow that we can shape ourselves.
