11:00 – 17:00 | Arp Museum Bahnhof Rolandseck
Workshop – Registration required
Where do we find the idea for a sculpture - an object? It slumbers inside us, waiting to be awakened when we look at nature, the forest, the clouds... or it is waiting to be found on the street. In exchange, we look for a suitable form for our own ideas. With wire, wood, paper, clay, found objects, plaster and plaster bandages, we awaken the idea. Whether built up, plastered, encased, cast, pressed or massively carved out - the idea is transformed into a sculpture. We experiment with the material plaster, feel how liquid becomes solid, soft becomes hard. Plaster is a wonderful, simple material that gives shape to ideas and allows us to create imaginative figures, sculptures and landscapes. Beginners and newcomers are just as welcome as experienced artists.
