Wie kaum ein anderes Paar beeinflussten Sophie Taeuber-Arp und Hans Arp die Kunst ihrer Zeit. Angesichts der großen gesellschaftlichen Fragen des 20. Jahrhunderts suchten sie einen radikalen Neuanfang. Als weltweit einziges Museum widmet sich das Arp Museum Bahnhof Rolandseck auf Grundlage seines hochkarätigen Sammlungsbestandes diesem bahnbrechenden Künstlerpaar.

Im Ausstellungsrundgang verdichten sich ihre Lebenswege, kreative Meilensteine und historische Querverweise zu einem breiten Panorama. Interaktive Stationen machen es zudem möglich, in den weiten Kosmos der Moderne einzutauchen und diesen mit eigenen Fragen zum Leben zu erwecken.

// Like no other couple, Sophie Taeuber-Arp and Hans Arp influenced the art of their time. Faced with the major social issues of the 20th century, they sought a radical new beginning. The Arp Museum Bahnhof Rolandseck is the only museum in the world dedicated to this groundbreaking artist couple on the basis of its top-class collection. More than 400 works are housed in the extraordinary architecture of the historic station building and Richard Meier's light-filled building.

The exhibition condenses their lives, creative milestones and historical cross-references into a broad panorama. Interactive stations also offer an immersive experience into the vast cosmos of modernism which can be brought to life with your own questions.
